HortPlus is a small company based in the sunny Hawkes Bay region of New Zealand.

We are New Zealand's leading supplier of horticultural management software. We distribute software internationally from a range of companies targeting improved disease management, crop management, harvest management, and quality improvement systems. And have been doing so for over a decade.

From the late-1980's HortResearch pioneered world leading orchard management software with the Orchard 2000 suite of decision support tools. From the mid-90's the marketing, support, and software development behind Orchard 2000 was increasingly moved outside of HortResearch to enable HortResearch to focus on the science behind the decision support tools. This process has been finalised with the establishment of HortPlus.

Our core business revolves around our well established and constantly expanding national weather station network, covering most of the horticultural regions of New Zealand. HortPlus has a strong alliance with Plant & Food Research (formally HortResearch), New Zealand's leading horticultural research provider. Over the past few years we have been getting more involved in horticultural research projects with them from different sectors like SFF, FRST and FAR. You might be surprised to find our logo on a number of available horticultural tools and research papers.

HostGIS has developed two generations of agricultural and meteorological maps with HortPlus, and is a partner with HortPlus on projects including and
