If you can calculate it and give it a location, we can draw it on a map; and that often makes a lot of sense. In this case, we're modeling parcels' response time from the closest fire station, and allowing the user to add/delete fire stations to determine the realistic impact of such changes.

- Using OpenLayers, a region's parcel data is used as the basemap. Each parcel is color-coded based on the response time from the nearest fire station.
- Additional tools and instructions are provided, allowing the user to arbitrarily create and delete fire stations. This then recalculates the model and updates the display, so the modeled effect of the change is available almost immediately. This makes the app highly effective at evaluating changes to procedures, placements, or funding.
- This application could easily be adapted to use a more complex risk-response model, or to predict other modelled behavior such as disease spread, transportation needs, or population growth. You provide the model, we provide the map.
